In the defence of my client: "The Arranged Marriage Theory"

This post is in accordance to one of the posts i read on my friend's blog....call it a solution...call it a counter post..call it anything....doesnt matter really...
The situation goes like this...

The frnd and one of her collegues are in an argument over the Indian concept of arranged marriage....the collegue being of foriegn nationality cant digest the very concept of arranged marriage....as to why people marry some unknown guys altogether,,,someone they dont love..worse in some cases some one they dont like at all....wat if in some point of life u find some good looking countergender n begin to fall for him....how n most importantly why shld u restrict urself against him for sum unknown stranger u hav married....the argument seems ace.. unarguable right?? well, not really....

And in the defence of my client I say....
Ever been to any hill station???esp in winter???wat do u see?? u see nothing....the fog of the winter, is beautiful...soothing...pleasent nevertheless blinds u...'falling ' in love is the same..initial phases of relationship are fogged with the winds of lust..u find the fog excititng but it abides u from seeing the bigger picture.....under the influence of the fog u take your steps wherver they they may lead to...when the fog resides, its then tht u r able to see the whole picture...u know if have gone horribly wrong(90% cases) or tht u have found someone for life(still the rest 10% arnt sure of tht)....the fog might take months or even years to precipitate but sumday it does n its tht time tht really matters...

Arranged marriages...i defend the only marriages which are decided on basis of astrological charts....are exactly the opposite....with astrology as its right wing, knows exactly wat will happen after the lust takes the back tier...will the horizon be still beautiful....will it last till end??it knows it all..its a science tht matches the stars.....accept it or not...astrology is a science n no matter how much u say stars have got nothing to do with ur life n ur life is independent of them..these guys, they silently rule ur world...

Arranged marriages asks these big bosses where the couples life will exactly lead themselves to....they make sure tht though u r strangers in this phase, u ll like each other in the next and probably love in the one next to tht...they wont help u suppress the bickers but will make sure u ll still hold each others hands after u r done with them...tht ur mental frequency matches...ur thoughts n habits counterpart the others...as said by Miss Linda Goodman for the cappy's....it may not fly u to Paris in the spring of love but it may take you to see the Taj Mahal by moonlight forty or fifty years later...i hope u get my point...

In the contrast,Western world has always banked on chances while the eastern esp India has relied on security....its in our genes.....take it love, economy...education(the field where westerns are free to pursuit anything while Indians have to go b a path chosen, well mostly)...anythng at all...when its good its cool....but when it goes wrong, its a disaster(a.k.a. recession)...while for us its an insurance, insurance against a rainy day, insurance against loneliness and insurance against the blows of a sordid, ugly world(Miss Goodman's words again)...a pair may not be made but surely jugded by the heavens...
Hence even if i dont turn away my head from the love marriages, i firm my stand over arranged ones...

And as i review my post.....there's only one song i can think of one song.... Carnival of Rust...

Come feed the rain
Cos I'm thirsty for your love dancing underneath the skies of lust
Yeah feed the rain
Cos without your love my life ain't nothing but this carnival of rust.....

Another exceptionally good song...

This is an awesome song from one of my favourite bands.... the songs of this band depict the fusion of two virtually unrelated feelings... heartache for the better half and the concern for the humanity...nevertheless the theme hypnotizes me....thts y its got to be on my blog ;)....

I'd stay the hand of god, but the war is on your lips
How can I brace myself for razor blades on whips
When everything with meaning is shattered, broken, screaming
And I'm lost inside this darkness and I fear I won't survive

I could pray and trick with a double tongue, but the only fool here's me
I choose the way to go, but the road won't set me free
Cos I wish you'd see me, baby, save me, I'm going crazy
Tryin' to keep us real, keep us alive

This day will die tonight and there ain't no exception
We shouldn't wait for nothing to wait for
Love me in this fable, babe, my heart is in your hand
Our time is waiting right outside your door
And maybe tomorrow is a better day

I do not deal the cards and I play a lousy hand
I celebrate no victories and my promises are sand
Against all this I contrast you, when all is lost the war is through
Hey angel, dare the winds now we can fly

This day will die tonight and there ain't no exception
Why should I wait for nothing to wait for
Let me love you in this fable, hold your heart in my hand
Our time is waiting right outside your door
And maybe tomorrow is a better day

This day will die tonight and there ain't no exception
Why should I wait for nothing to wait for
I won't cry for my solitude, lay my head and dream of you
And hope that you'll come knocking on my door
And maybe tomorrow is a better day
I know tomorrow is a better day.....

Guys, Lets go Fishing this evening....(keep the ladies at home)..

This Post is in accordance to the popular public demand...guys read on....gals wait for my next post....

This post is a typical guide for the new fishermen who have just entered the waters...are anxious...are scared of what they might catch...so was i couple years back....n then there was no one to guide me....no one to teach me the basics....but i learned by experience...to put my findings in the best possible way, the closest relationship i found was comparing X chromosome to fishes.....so my dear fellow freshmen...sit around for i describe to u the various types of fish found in the Indian seas....

Bombay Duck:
Most abundant in sea.....easy to catch..'literally cheap'...tastes good....loves u for ur money...typical flirt....easy to eat n swallow....not harmful at all....but be a lill careless n u never know...u might run around with a fish bone pricking ur throat...

Tuna:
Tunas are fast swimmers, are warm-blooded...they dont have time to look at themselves...their time table consists of study...class....coll...family...thts it...u will generally find them behind large specks poring over books or trying to learn sumthng new....good for long term....but avoid if u like to play with ur food before u eat...

Grouper fish:
A typical KG....always roams around in groups....one or the other...genrally bony or to say improportionate in some or the other way...found in all types of sea.....typical fakers... tasteless to say the least...

Pomfret: White/silvery, handsome fish, comes pretty expensive....she is picky..knows her priorities...she will dress up well....classy trendy looks...possibly an allrounder....found in abundance but only in coastal areas....tough to win, tougher to maintain...

Mackerel:
these are the typical upclass kinds of fishes u can catch....they try to keep up with the 'shortest' trends..a good google search would easily provide u with following info:
Hot smoked mackerel has a firm flesh and is tasty and nutritious, smoked for added flavour, this is a treat for the tastebuds! Hot smoked mackerel is ideal served with a salad for a quick, tasty, healthy meal...
i guess u get my point here...catch this fish at your own risk...bcoz u never know who pounces on to share ur fish from the dish...

Sea Bass:
The sea bass is the ultimate catch..she is nationally or internationally famous. Sea Bass is a highly prized catch....a trophie gf to have....not within the reach of general fishermen... provide a great taste plus appetite...but ofcourse come verrryyyy expensive....

Oyster:
Need less to say...the best kind of fish u can catch...u know her importance right frm the start.....verrrry rare....comes in a hard shell...bitterly protected from outside world...but when u find her....hold her in ur hands...hold her tight ..n preserve her for life....its ur dream catch...

sooo...stop wasting itme n decide for urself exactly wht type of fish u need....n when u do find it KINDLY MOVE OUT n leave the remaining fish for rest of the fishermen...

A Bogie Derails...

Today's Newspaper read..."A bogie derails over a stolen manhole cover"..... 'Bogie derails'.... reminds me of something....

It was my first campus call...Accenture...off campus..Pillai college....open for students of all categories.. I was pretty excited n nervous ofcourse....like everyone i too wanted to score in my verrry first campus..not tht i longed for it....it was a IT company n m frm Mechanical n i dont want to switch sides....just tht I will have sumthng in hand in case my decision changes...plus lill bit of vatt in coll..."Haila iska Accenture main Placement ho gaya"...hehe..

We got off at sum station i dont remember which.... I was with a few frnds...I asked them "Abbe rassta pata hai kya coll ka....poochle kisi ko to..(Do u know the road to the coll....ask someone..) but I soon found it quite unnecessary.... the train i was in consisted of 80% of students tht wer headed the same destination...the brain started clicking....

We followed a group who we guess wer grp with same purpose..we crossed the bridge, got off the station walked a curved path n its then tht i stopped conversing with frnds n looked up...what i saw ahead made me think, alot...

It was a winding road ahead...kucha road....covered on both sides with half grown grass...road made a formation of bigg S if u can imagine... n every cm of the pathway was occupied with a student heading for the same destination....same pathway tht i was following...
I knew my dreams would be shattered if i joined tht line...shattered even before they wer created....Ii would be doing same mundane work....get into an company..slog my ass for few years....get promotion...get married..have kids n so on....wish tht every one wished...work tht everyone worked on already.. live a life tht everyone lives n 'enjoys'...

It reminded me the song frm Pink Floyd..."We dont need no Education".....the video was ditto......a linnnne of human as raw materials entering a process industry n vommited out as finished packages....I found my self entering the same process industry....I was the bogie of the train tht was driven by the same engine tht drived every other bogie.....
Tht moment i thought...tht moment i made up my mind.....tht moment a 'Bogie' derailed!!!!

Just For Laughter Gags...

This is an ekdumm virginal(read original) thought tht came in to my mind whilst talking to a good frnd the other day....

If someone is to get married, say some Patil guy... as the tradition goes...bride has to change her name in the mandap... so here's the plan.....the new names shld go like this...
bride name = How
Bridegroom name = Manage...
so after marriage bride will be called.... "How Manage Patil"....hehehaha
wats more in the store...
wat if they name their frst child....'somehow'....
his complete name will be...
"Somehow Manage Patil"
hahahaaahaahaha

THE (F)ART OF LIVING....

This is regarding one of the courses i am presently attending.. the art of living. some say i joined because i had gone nuts like everyone else....that i had succumbed to pressure of its volunteers.... the volunteers were saying i joined to enlighten my own life...the reasons of my joining might remain undisclosed... but one of the experiences worth sharing goes like this....

there is a section called as satsung...in this section the stage is equipped with few vocalists, an electric guitar... tabla n congo i guess...the trick here is to hypnotise the crowd with chants of "Hare Rama.."...:Ganpati Bappa Moraya"....Lord Brahma...Lord Vishnu...Lord Shankar...so on, enveloped in d modern beats ...its a fusion to say the least..take a shloka...add some modern guitar strokes with a flavour of tabla n congo n u have 'devotees' waving on ur tunes...some find it amazing...some find it blissful...what I feel is, its like the nutritious vegetables tht grow in your own back yard....the only thing is tht you disregard it for some useless 'jungli' stuff.....this 'jungli' stuff is harvested from our own backyard....processed thoroughly...cooked well with spices and served as customer favourite recipe....served at a very high price ofcourse.....
What do we call this???commercialisation??loot??selling sumthng tht is already available for free...i hav not been a big fan of these management people...they survey the people....study their mentality...find their weaknesses...likings n dislikings....develop product just to suit these needs and cash on it....nevermind the impact it has on the youth or the younger generation who literally observe a lot....when this will create an weakness in the youth...they will find sumthng other to cash on it... Nation to relations....they know well to play with emotions, n commercialise on it......

The point is....i thought on the same lines abt this situation...wrapping the chants of Hindu Devtas in the addiction n weakness of today's youth...music, n serving them hot...n earning hard cash over it...but the next thing tht striked my mind was....this is the only language tht today's youth understands....the 'moving-on-with-the-world' culture has made most of us forget our real culture as its not as trendy with the fast moving lifestyle..agreed many people still beieve in preseving it the way it is..but one cannot expect everyone to wear keshari jhabas n enforce the culture by crashing through malls.....if this technique appeals to the youth of today n they are ready to pay a price for it then so be it... the organisers will continue cashing on it until the people realise wat they are buying and start cultivationg it for themselves...later on some new weakness will show up n so will the commercialisation...

to conclude...though i found it to have a little effect on me, this Modern vedic fusion seems the temperory solution to bind the youth of today with the culture from the past.....

Some Songs i Loveee..

Here are the songs tht influence me the most...
NICKELBACK :If Everone Cared..
From underneath the trees, we watch the skyConfusing stars for satellites
I never dreamed that you'd be mineBut here we are, we're here tonight
Singing Amen, I, I'm aliveSinging Amen, I, I'm alive
If everyone cared and nobody criedIf everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we'd see the day when nobody died
And I'm singing AmenAmen I, Amen I, I'm alive
Amen I, Amen I, Amen I, I'm alive
And in the air the firefliesOur only light in paradise
We'll show the world they were wrong
And teach them all to sing alongS
inging Amen, I, I'm aliveSinging Amen, I, I'm alive(I'm alive)
And as we lie beneath the stars
We realize how small we are
If they could love like you and me
Imagine what the world could be
If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we'd see the day when nobody died
....
SAVAGE GARDEN: Affirmation

One more...
I believe the sun should never set upon an argument
I believe we place our happiness in other people's hands
I believe that junk food tastes so good because it's bad for you
I believe your parents did the best job they knew how to do
I believe that beauty magazines promote low self esteem
I believe I'm loved when I'm completely by myself alone
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye
I believe you can't control or choose your sexuality
I believe that trust is more important than monogamy
I believe your most attractive features are your heart and soul
I believe that family is worth more than money or gold
I believe the struggle for financial freedom is unfair
I believe the only ones who disagree are millionaires
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye
I believe forgiveness is the key to your unhappiness
I believe that wedded bliss negates the need to be undressed
I believe that God does not endorse TV evangelists
I believe in love surviving death into eternity
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye

Sooo true.....Sooo pure..

The 'DOOLDRUM' Principle...

My first contribution to the society...

Extract: During long boring sessions in my meaningless(frm my point of view atleast) lectures i have found a remarkable relation between the time period of the lecture and the mood of the professor. If a graph is to be drawn of the stress levels of the prof to the amount of commotion with the passage of time,it is found remarkably similar to the stress strain curve of the ductile materials....to prove it lets take a good look at the stress strain graph..

initially its a straight line with a slope of 45 to 60 degrees.then it takes a form of a small wave n then breaks after drooping down a bit....(the failure of the material...)...the professor acts jst the same.....as the strain of commotion takes a toll on him....his stress levels linearly increase.....finally at sum point of time when it reaches d top point i.e. the curve part... one of guys get a good slegding or bashing... if the strain is still applied he tolerates it, representing the downside of the curve...a little ahead of time he thinks" what the hell am i doing with bunch of these shitheads who dont give a damn...representing the drooping of the curve(where he tries to ignore the commotion n get on with his 'job'....if further applied it finally breaks.....leading to end of 1 session.....in case the strain is unapplied at sum point the stress level linearly recovers....however a little deformation is observed making the lecturer a bit more stricter the next time giving a completely new graph.....Results:1) to end an lecture early.....keep on increasing strain levels linearly...make sure ur frnd gets to face the high end of the curve however later on keep straining on the prof till the point he snaps n calls it a day.2) NEVER EVER give up on a prof once he shouts as though it will reduce his stress level, there will be a definite permenant deformation(in this case reformation) seen in the nature of the prof n then u r in for a dreadlier lec next time....
