3 hrs before the annual friendship day, i was absorbing these words from some of my oldest school friends...actually i had been hearing them for quite a couple of days...
The reason??? I had opted to spend the D-Sunday to chill out with my family at my dad's picnic...it wasn't intentional, rather a pure misunderstanding.....I was under the illusion that a private, though office, picnic was supposed to e scheduled on Saturday, so that the people get Sunday to rest and then proceed with their chores from Mondays...guess i was wrong....
The abutting week had been a fantastic one... one friend of mine had a grand plan and we had cooked up a real surprise for our group...the preparations had taken almost a week and we planned to dish it out on the obvious day...plans were made but i screwed them...
School friends....it was decided that we continue the friendship day tradition by visiting a distant place( u can say a temple )at the crack of dawn...and then schedule our meeting with the other school friends in the evening....as we do every year....plans were made but i screwed them again....
The Sunday night was to be a nite out with friends again...but fact that i didnt know when exactly would i return, made me decide to drop off the plan..screwed, screwed time n again...
Or did i???
I hear it time and again that life isn't exactly what you plan it to be...it has surprises for us too...some grey many good...i had my quota of nice surprises the other day.....
Saturday Evening, the surprise party was quickly arranged for at a distant mall....had tonnes of fun...the fact that 'surprise' had remained 'surprise' was the greatest surprise of the time...well Saturday evening...with close friends....at a cool place where you are calling the cards for the big surprise...well i couldn't ask for more....
I was invited at nite out with the school buddies on saturday which i obviously couldn't opt for due to my next day schedule..but from what was calculated at first stroke of Sunday, i could certainly have my little morning outing with friends to the place we were planning...next day i was up at 515(gosh, i had forgot the feeling of getting up than early post my exams...)and till 6 was off to the place...
i was back by 8 am...8:45 departing with my parents for the scheduled picnic....a decent resort in the rainy Karjat region...a nice rain dance with an awesome sensible DJ playing your favourite tunes...swimming pool, sports, a pathetic magic show, luscious murgi in the heavy rains, House game which you never seem to have a luck for n other few games...well to call in an exaggerated expression, it rocked big time...
we were returning back home sooner than i thought....though we had to take a few stops for an early dinner n so....but free chicken treat and that i was able to reach my place before the estimated time, it didn't really matter... nonetheless i was able to keep up with my friends plan at restaurant at night...935 was back from picnic 945 was laughing besides my friends....checked!!!
with the night growing n that we had girls in the group too, we had to break up the party at 1030...but the story doesn't end there..1030 i was home, 1045 i had another friend bellowing the horn of the car he was driving to pick me up at my home...n again i was off for the nite out which again was obviously dhamaal....
The surprise i threw my friends the Saturday eve, was the printing of shirts with our group name...thing they were unsuccessfully planning for over 2 years...thing that was completed in less than a week in the strictest secrecy..its a simple black T-shirt with sum funky design in front n the back bearing "Keep Rocking, Keep Managing"...
well what a fine example to put...
